2010 Market Statistics

For additional statistics and informative pertaining to the local real estate market, the Monthly Market Report is available. Below are just a few of the statistics you can review from 2010 and why they are relevant to consumers.
 
Each Monthly Market Report includes:
  • The amount of properties sold each month broken down by type of selling transaction (i.e. bank owned, short sale, or regular seller) which provides an accurate assessment of inventory being sold each month
  • The breakdown of financing used to purchase properties (i.e. are homes being purchased with cash, conventional financing, FHA financing or VA financing) which provides the type of competition in the market place amongst buyers 
  • The current Absorption Rate and Inventory Depletion figure which help to understand the supply of inventory available and how long it will take (in months) for the current demand of buyers to "deplete" the inventory in the local marketplace. Absorption Rate and Inventory Depletion help a Seller to better understand how long it might take a home to sell. They also help a Seller better understand his or her pricing strategy. Absorption Rate and Inventory Depletion help a Buyer to best understand market supply and demand. They can also help a Buyer with his or her offering strategy.
